Hello anxiety my old friend…we meet again. It’s been a tough week and I’ve found myself feeling triggered and anxious. It’s been a while since I last felt this way and I’m not relishing feeling this way at the moment.

It started on Monday with a Skype call. I say call, it was more of an ambush which left me feeling flustered, annoyed, foolish and reeling. Fast forward to Wednesday with the prospect of another Skype call looming and I knew I had to take action.

I am incredibly lucky to have a very supportive and understanding GP. Not only does she really take time and listen, but she gets it. I left with a plan of attack (so to speak) and feeling validated.

I need to remember that I am doing my best in the most unusual unprecedented circumstances. I’m learning a whole new skill set whilst managing my own feelings and concerns about Coronavirus. It also makes me think about the impact of Covid-19 on life and in particular the points highlighted by the Rowan Consultancy below.

For now, I’m going to relax and enjoy my evening. Take tomorrow as it comes and hold my head high. Over the weekend, I’m going to move my work station out of my main living space. I need that separation and I want my living space back. My anxiety will thank me for it too.

I'm 40 and fabulous! I love good wine, nice gin and good food. Prefer cosy nights in to wild nights out and am figuring out the rest as I go along!!
